Aurora

Aurora was the ancient Roman goddess of the dawn.

The northern lights

painted the sky

with stories we

hadn’t heard yet.

We leaned back,

letting the colours

wash over us

and paint new dreams

for us to follow.

Poem by

Robyn Petrik

Aurora is an exploration of light in motion — a study of how colour breathes through fabric when guided by flowers,

water and hand. Each piece is hand-dyed using bundle dyeing, botanical printing, dip-and-dye and shibori,

with indigo applied through a hammered technique reminiscent of hapazome.

Created on vintage cottons, peace silk and habotai, the collection captures the delicate bloom of dawn —

where pigments from petals, minerals and chlorophyll merge into landscapes of lilac, blush, ochre and sky blue.

A quiet homage to light, transformation and the fleeting poetry of nature’s touch.
